Travel Guide: Podstrana (Croatia) Best Attractions (II)

Dear Alice,

Today I would like to present you some more impressions from my wonderful summer holiday in Podstrana, Croatia. Here is a further list of things I enjoyed very much in the beautiful resort situated in the south of the city Split:

• Even though there is a wide range of hotels in Podstrana, I still believe that for a longer stay renting an apartment is a good option! Just as this time this was an option for us. There are a lot of engines on the internet, where you can rent an appropriate apartment for your needs, I would say the most important criteria is that you are happy with your own choice. For me it is important to have a big enough bathroom (or two if more persons are sharing the apartment), to have a terrace with a sea view (yes this is a must, it is summer holiday at the sea after all), to have a kitchen with most basics cooking items available, and to have a bedroom with a comfortable mattress (and I do love “real” double beds here, I am not a big fan of two single beds situated next to each other as a solution for “fake” double beds 😉 ). With such an apartment you can be sure that your stay at the seaside will be unforgettable.
• Podstrana is the most suitable resort for you if you enjoy pebble beaches! The resort has an incredible large number of pebble beaches: ranging from traditional beaches where you can enjoy the sun and the water next to the original inhabitants and ending with more touristic beaches, specially embellished with aqua parks for children and restaurants. I do enjoy them both as much, I especially like the mixture between the two pebble beaches!
• The water is very clear and clean, so you can have a great visibility for snorkeling or even diving! Even when you are only crawling you can take advantage of the impressive visibility of the clear water: lovely feeling! The only disadvantage that could appear is that if your stay starts exactly after an unexpected storm-the Bora-(which could hit the shores unexpectedly during the summer), the water might be quite cold for 2-3 days until it becomes warm again. I guess this is a risk that comes with the beauty of nature!
• So there, these are only a couple of highlights from my wonderful stay in Podstrana! I hope the pictures below speak for themselves 🙂 .
